We were approached by Semetric as they had planned to move offices within a very short timeframe and needed a new telephone system that would be ready to use from day one. After putting together a proposal swiftly, we only had four days to put together the complete system, configure and test the features required and install the required hardware.
Although there was very little time, we maintain our core values of putting together quality telephone solutions with careful attention to detail.
- VoIP Call Routing – The new office is provided with a high speed Internet connection and so this was the best time to move Semetric to a fully IP based telephone system. The original telephone numbers in use through BT were ported across to our VoIP provider and the monthly line rental costs have been cut by over 80%.
- International Numbers – Although the business is based in London, they also have many clients and colleagues throughout North America. To help with this we provided New York local USA telephone numbers attached to our system. This allows for calls to be made to the UK office from abroad simply, and in most cases for free from those localities.
- Remote Access Voicemail – Members of staff can be away from the office and not miss a call by having personal voicemail, but there are occasions where messages are urgent. We provided a secure method for staff to access their own voicemail from outside the office on their mobile phone.
- Conferencing – This is a key feature for Semetric, as telephone meetings are a daily part of business. Originally they were using a 3rd party conferencing service but now this is all handled by the conferencing features of their own internal telephone system. This has cut costs and provides flexibility and security. It allows them to ensure that they are in control of who is in the meeting and allowing people to join a conference by calling or being called internally or externally.
